About Carrots

Carrots will grow well any time the soil temperatures are less than 80ºF. For those who live where there are mild summers, you can probably plant this any time during the spring and summer. For those with a Spring-Fall or Fall-Winter-Spring pattern, you can probably plant carrots later than suggested here.

About Cauliflower

Cauliflower is the most temperamental vegetable to grow. It cannot tolerate extreme heat or cold. If the average temperature is not much higher than 75°F, you can probably plant it directly outside in the ground. But if temperatures are still warm, you will need to start it indoors under growing lights.

About Peas

Peas need cool weather to grow well. If the temperatures are still high, be sure to water the peas really well. For those with a Spring-Fall or Fall-Winter-Spring pattern, you can probably plant peas later than suggested here.
