Frost is no longer a concern –you can plant or transplant anything and everything you’ve been waiting for! Just make sure you have enough days left in the growing season to harvest before frost sets in!

If you haven’t created your garden plan and prepped your garden, it’s time!

Plan

  • Decide what veggies you want to plant, and how much of each.
  • Create a garden plan!  Use the tool linked here, or draw out your garden on paper, mapping out where each type of plant will go.

Prepare

Basil

It is time to plant basil seeds directly in the garden.

Beans (Bush and Pole)

Beans are a tender vegetable that require lots of sunshine and warm temperatures to thrive. There are several types of beans–bush, pole, and dry. Beans do not transplant well. Plant beans directly in the garden.

Beets

Bell Peppers

If you started bell peppers indoors or purchased transplants, harden off and transplant now.

Carrots

Hot Peppers

Whether you started hot peppers indoors or purchased transplants, harden off and transplant now.
